Our story

NanoSanitas™ epitomizes years of translational research, in a new generation of holistic pet-care products. Our award-winning grooming line is carefully engineered down to the nano-scale, free of preservatives (e.g. parabens) and designed to cater to your pet’s wellbeing.

NanoSanitas™ is a brand of para-pharmaceutical pet-grooming products, launched by PLiN Nanotechnology S.A., a company specializing in the production of nanomaterials. Because of the innovation of these products on a global scale, the company received VC funding in 2018 and 2019, to develop and market the products. This premium line features an effective composition of nanomaterials (Silver and Gold), combined with nature’s purest ingredients.

Our vision

For us, grooming is not just about tending to your pet’s appearance. Our vision is to disrupt the global pet grooming market with functional products that cater to your pet’s health and wellbeing. NanoSanitas™ is the first health care line for pets with nanotechnology. Our products feature an award-winning and effective composition of Silver and Gold, meticulously combined with a selection of natural ingredients (e.g. extracts and oils), with anti-odor & antibacterial properties, benefiting the pet’s skin, fur and living space. NanoSanitas™ shields our four-legged companions from pathogens, offering a better & healthier future for them and your family. We envision a worry-free co-habitation of humans and companion animals, where pets are treated like a part of the family. Our product line allows you to treat your pet in a way that suppresses minor skin issues, avoiding their manifestation into a condition that will require extensive treatment.

Our collaborations

Pet owners consider their animal companions members of the family, and as such, expect pet products to adhere to international quality and safety standards.

Carefully designed and exhaustively tested, all our products undergo exhaustive testing, which include, among others, compatibility, stability, challenge, usability and performance tests, physico-chemical characterization, pre-clinical and clinical studies etc. As quality-conscious producers, we consider these necessary pre-cautions and integrate the highest safety and quality standards into our processes and products.

To achieve this, we have developed an extensive network of collaborations:

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki

Largely responsible for our pre-clinical trials and clinical testing, they provide valuable insight on matters such as: The group of Assoc. Prof. S. Papadimitriou consults us on the compatibility and suitability of products (e.g. dental gels) and performs pre-clinical and clinical tests for safety issues. Our proprietary NanoSilver technology has been tested preclinically by the group of Veterinary Assoc. Prof. N. Diakakis and of Prof. L. Papazoglou, for the treatment of inflammations providing excellent wound healing properties (furthered by NSRF grant no. T2EDK-02826). The efficacy of our silver nanoparticles has been tested by the group of Veterinary Prof. H. Papadopoulos against well-known parasites, indicating their potential as active ingredients in this area (furthered by NSRF grant no. T2EDK-02826).
